We’re looking for a hands-on Bar Manager to join the team at LOOP, our independent live music and events venue in Shrewsbury and home of LOOPFEST.

We’re looking for someone with strong bar or hospitality experience who can lead shifts, open and close the venue, supervise staff, manage stock and help keep LOOP running smoothly.

This is a practical role in a small independent venue, so we need someone who’s reliable, takes initiative and is happy to get stuck in — whether that’s running a busy bar, preparing for a gig, receiving deliveries or helping clean and reset the venue after an event.

Friday and Saturday availability is essential, with regular Thursday evenings and other hours depending on our gigs and events programme.

The role averages 30 hours per week across the year, with more hours during busy periods such as LOOPFEST and Christmas and fewer hours during quieter periods. Salary is paid evenly throughout the year, including planned closed periods.

You don’t necessarily need to have been a Bar Manager before. This could be a great next step for an experienced bartender, supervisor or duty manager looking for more responsibility.

An interest in live music, events and the local scene would be a big advantage.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable bar staff to join the team at LOOP, our independent live music and events venue in Shrewsbury and home of LOOPFEST.

You’ll work alongside our Bar Manager and wider team across gigs, club nights, private hires and special events, helping us deliver a great experience for everyone who comes through the doors.

The role includes serving drinks, taking payments, restocking the bar, keeping bar areas clean and tidy and helping with setup and close-down.

Most shifts will be evenings and weekends, particularly Fridays and Saturdays, so good weekend availability is important.

We’re looking for people who:

• Are friendly, confident and comfortable talking to customers
• Are reliable and turn up when they say they will
• Can work quickly when the bar gets busy
• Are happy to get stuck in with cleaning, restocking and closing down
• Work well as part of a small team
• Are comfortable working evenings and late nights

Previous bar or hospitality experience would be useful, but attitude and reliability are just as important and training can be provided.

An interest in live music, events and the local scene would be a big plus.

There may also be opportunities for additional work around LOOPFEST and other events.
